Grad Dipl. Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
Dipl. Integrative Clinical Psychotherapy
I was born in Dublin in 1975 and spent almost all my life there until 2009, when I moved to Germany. Before that I studied philosophy at Trinity College Dublin and, after graduating in 1997, worked in business and the arts.
My interest in psychotherapy first began during my time at university and I wrote my thesis on an aspect of C.G. Jung’s work. In 2011, I began training in humanistic and integrative counselling and psychotherapy at the Irish Institute of Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies (now the Turning Point Institute) in Dublin, graduating in 2016 with a Diploma in Integrative Clinical Psychotherapy. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin City University.
I am a member of the Association of Counselors and Therapists Berlin (ACT) and the Deutscher Dachverband für Psychotherapie (DVP), the German umbrella body for psychotherapy. I have been living and working in Berlin since 2009 where I am licensed to practice psychotherapy under the Heilpraktiker Gesetz. These days my practice is primarily informed by psychodynamic ways of working. I have been seeing patients for counselling and therapy since 2013.
If you are interested in arranging an appointment, please call or email me and I will outline my fees for the initial consultation and subsequent sessions.
Please note that my fees are not covered by German public (gesetzlich) health insurance policies. I only accept private paying patients or, in some cases, patients covered by a private health insurance policy from Germany or another country. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
